Rare George III Matching Mother of Pearl Hafted Silver Bladed Folding Fruit Knife and Folding Fork.
The mother of pearl handles are engraved with wheat tied with a bow, this was to represent industry at the time.
There is a silver cap at the top and bottom of the handles.
The knife blade has a bright-cut bordered edge to it, and the fork blade has engraving to both sides of the blade.
The pair dates to around 1800.
Each piece has an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of each item.
The pair comes in a hinged red leather case.
Length of the knife and fork open is 5.95 inches.
Condition: Good. The blades snap in and out of the handles.
